A calm space to learn attention, awareness, and kindness.
The Attention Skills Program is a non-clinical, skills-based enrichment program designed to support children (Kindergarten through 6th grade) in developing attention, emotional awareness, and kindness through calm, presence-based activities.
The program emphasizes attention, awareness, and everyday mindfulness—not instruction, diagnosis, or treatment. It is developmental skill-building that supports children in learning how to pause, notice their thoughts and emotions, and respond with greater intention.
Children today are constantly responding — to screens, school expectations, peer dynamics, and internal emotions they do not yet fully understand.
In Phoenix, AZ, families often navigate busy schedules, academic pressure, and digital stimulation at increasingly young ages.
Many children are not struggling because they are lacking.
They are overstimulated and disconnected from internal awareness.
The Attention Skills Program provides:
When children strengthen attention, they strengthen choice.
When they strengthen choice, they strengthen character.
Benefits for Parents and Families
With consistent participation, parents often observe:
When children learn to pause and reflect, family dynamics often become calmer and more intentional.
The goal is not perfection.
The goal is awareness aligned with kindness.
Each session may include:
What Children Practice and Learn
Through structured and age-appropriate sessions, children practice:
Children begin to understand in simple language:
“I can notice my thoughts instead of becoming my thoughts.”
As attention strengthens, impulsive reactions decrease. In the pause, choice appears.
Meditation in this program is introduced as simple attention and awareness, such as noticing breathing, thoughts, or bodily sensations in a gentle, accessible way. It is not a technique, belief system, or spiritual practice.
The program is offered from a companionship perspective, meaning the facilitator provides presence, listening, and attention—without directing, interpreting, or treating emotional or behavioral conditions.
No religious or belief-based instruction is included.
Any concerns beyond the program’s scope are referred to parents or appropriate school staff.
• Afterschool Group Program: $25 per child / per session
• Individual Sessions (by parent request): $66 per 45-minute session
Individual sessions follow the same non-clinical, presence-based approach.
Activities are adapted developmentally and designed to be flexible and child-centered.
